For comment 5: You usually want to replace both if they're under the same heatsink assembly. You can use HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner to check individual CPU/GPU temps.

Love the post! One minor correction: 'do's' should ideally have an apostrophe for clarity, as in 'do's and don'ts'.
