I actually disagree with the sentiment that the setup is 'daunting.' There are so many pre-built Laravel Docker examples and services like Laravel Sail that abstract away a lot of the initial complexity. It's become much easier than it used to be a few years ago.

Reply to @comment-11: Ah, good catch on the `string` backing type! My bad, I'll fix the post. You're absolutely right, for `Admin = 'admin'` it needs to be `enum UserRole: string`.

The learning curve for AWS is overstated. There are so many tutorials and a huge community, you'll find answers for everything.
